I didn’t plan to write another article today, but a huge update just came from the Star Wars official website, revealing the title of the highly anticipated episode VIII.

“We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.” ~ www.starwars.com
I’m really excited about this announcement and I can’t wait to find out what ‘The last Jedi’ has in store for us! The movie is scheduled for release on December 15 of this year so that leaves us with 11 months of speculation and theorising. We already know that Luke Skywalker is going to play a larger role in The last Jedi, but is the title really referring to Luke?
First thing I noticed is while they usually use white or yellow/gold for the font, The last Jedi has a red font. There is actually one other Star Wars movie that uses a red font in it’s title: Return of the Jedi.
*puts on her tinfoil hat*
If return of the Jedi was about Darth Vader’s redemption/ Anakin Skywalker’s return as a Jedi, could the last Jedi be about Kylo Ren’s redemption/ the return of Ben Solo?
But that’s something to discuss in a future article! Meanwhile, keep up the hype and let us know what you guys think!
Thanks for reading, see you next time and may the force be with you!
